On June 19 during the presentation of argumentation “Reforms implementation in the area of energy efficiency“, representatives of German organization GIZ, the Ukrainian government and members of Parliament discussed the process of energy reforms’ implementation in Ukraine.

Implementation of Energy Efficiency EU Directive is one of the steps that will help Ukraine become energy self-sufficient. It requires thoughtful energy use at all stages of the energy chain. Directive implementation will allow Ukraine to decrease its energy dependence on energy sources import due to the modernization of enterprises, improvement of commercial, residential and public facilities.

MAINSTREAM agency acted as the organizer of the event, and it also provided coordination, technical and information support.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been assisting Ukraine since 1993 in its transition to a democratic state based on the rule of law.
