Fifteen years ago, MAINSTREAM unveiled the Birth of a Leader, -- an event that marked the official launch of Metinvest in Ukraine. This year, we organised a press event that showcased the metallurgical company’s path from a domestic business player to a powerful international corporation.
To celebrate the anniversary, the MAINSTREAM team invited journalists and Metinvest top managers to the River Lodge restaurant, a picturesque place on the banks of the Dnipro River. The guests gathered on its open-air summer terrace in compliance with the local quarantine restrictions.
The event had a unique concept to it. Our goal was to demonstrate the scale of Metinvest’s achievements alongside the company’s growth and success story that unfolded in parallel with Ukraine’s history. To do that, we used augmented reality, animating colourful 3D projections of the iconic buildings and constructs that Metinvest helped create during this time: the NSC Olimpiyskiy, the Chornobyl nuclear power plant’s sarcophagus, the Darnytskyi Bridge, and more.
During the event, Metinvest’s representatives spoke about the company’s achievements. They also unveiled the Robymo Ukrainske (Making Ukrainian) project, which encapsulates the company’s fifteen-year-long path. After the presentation, the journalists had the chance to ask Metinvest’s CEO questions face-to-face.
Since the celebration coincided with Journalist Day, the guests were also invited to participate in a yacht sailing master class, steering the wheel like true captains about to conquer the mighty Dnipro River.
