On August 25, 2025, the second National Prayer Breakfast was held in Kyiv. This is an annual interfaith event that continues a tradition started in 1953 in the United States.
The event was held under the patronage of the President of Ukraine and became a powerful platform for sincere conversation about values, faith, freedom, responsibility, and the power of common prayer in the darkest moments of history.
Scale and Participants
The event brought together more than 1,200 participants, including representatives of the Ukrainian government, clergy, international partners, and charitable organizations.
Among the 350+ international guests from 50 countries were:
- Keith Kellogg, Special Envoy of the U.S. President for Ukraine;
- Elijah Brown, General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance;
- Edward Graham, Chief Operating Officer of the international mission Samaritan’s Purse;
- Bob McEwen, Executive Director of the Council for National Policy of the U.S. Republican Party;
- Mark Burns, American evangelical pastor and founder of The Harvest Harvest Praise & Worship Center.
Key themes: efforts to achieve peace, support of the allies, the spiritual resilience of Ukrainians, and the role of the international community in restoring justice.
