Mainstream organised international competition Ultimate Bartender Championship by Monkey Shoulder and provided media support of the event

On 03 March, 32 best bartenders and mixologists of the country took part in Ukrainian stage of the competition Ultimate Bartender Championship by Monkey Shoulder. By results of the international competition was chosen the best bartender of the country.

Having demonstrated their skills in various aspects of bartender’s job, three participants got a ticket to the finals – each of them had to prepare and serve 8 cocktails within 5 minutes. Results of the finalists will be added to the global rating scale, where the best bartenders of the USA, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Russia and Indonesia are competing.

The winner is Sergey Alexeyev, Parovoz Speak Easy. He will go to Scotland to visit the whisky distilleries, the malt from which is used for Monkey Shoulder.

Dasha Kolomiec was in charge of the dance rhythms at the after party. It wouldn’t be the party without Monkey Shoulder authorship bar list. Special guests at the bar counter were Dean Callan, brand ambassador of Monkey Shoulder whisky and bartender of London bar Milk & Honey; Stuart Hudson, London mixologist and founder of consulting company in the bar sphere; and Alexander Kuznetsov, Brand Ambassador of William Grant & Sons.

 “If you wonder whether to participate in competitions of bartenders – definitely, it is worth. Firstly, this is a possibility to meet colleagues from all over Ukraine. Secondly, to try your strengths and what you are fit for. And thirdly, the competition offers an opportunity to go on a journey and this is cool!” commented the championship’s winner Sergey Alekseev.
“Ultimate Bartender Championship by Monkey Shoulder is a competition that tests your aptitudes, in the first place. Each bartender should possess certain skills – the success of the bar depends on this. Therefore, we always test them to the hilt but the most important – we look if a bartender takes pleasure in doing the job – since this affects the atmosphere and the mood of guests. Everything went perfectly in Ukraine. I think we’ve taken step forward to making Ukrainian bartenders and establishments recognisable around the world,” shared global brand ambassador of Monkey Shoulder Dean Callan.

The event was organised by the agency as a part of retainer PR-servicing of company William Grant & Sons.
