ÕÕ² century education
Apple together with ERC VAD Apple conducted a series of seminars for teachers titled «Education with Apple: review of ÕÕ² century learning tools». The event took place in Ukraine for the first time.
Keynote speakers at the seminar were members of Apple training group, teachers and Apple trainers (ÌÎÀ). ÌÎÀ cooperates with institutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa by helping them to use widely Apple technologies in educational process as well as to share the accumulated experience with their foreign colleagues.
Leading specialists of secondary and higher education (institutions) as well as representatives of relevant ministries of Ukraine participated in the profile seminar that considered issues of the educational process development on the basis of digital educational environment that complies with requirements of the XXI century.
Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh.
Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system, iLife project and professional applications. Apple is also spearheading the digital media revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and iTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market with its revolutionary iPhone.
Apple has been supporting teachers and inspiring students for over 30 years by developing its education-focused innovation products. Within the two-day training the audience:
- found out about the strategy of attracting modern schoolchildren and university students to further perfection of their basic skills;
- learned to develop educational environment, which covered the today’s digital requirements of students;
- obtained the first-hand knowledge about experience of creating study materials using Apple digital tools that made it possible to study and apply their knowledge beyond the classroom;
- discovered new possibilities of using Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Snow Leopard operating systems.
