Mainstream Communication & Consulting provided PR-support to a meeting with Claude Cecil Gournay, an outstanding English designer and founder of 'de Gournay', which took place in salon of oriental antique furniture 'Oriental Deco' on November 10, 2010.
Mainstream was in charge of all aspects of interaction with the press within limits of this project PR-support.
Claude Gournay opened this remarkable meeting with a fascinating story about history of Chinese wallpaper, about their remarkable properties, which change internal space, filling interiors with harmony of warmth and calmness. Guests of the evening were deeply impressed with a presentation of new handmade wallpaper in oriental style of 'de Gournay' production that followed.
During excursion in the salon, guests could see unique handwork pieces of interior in oriental style worth to become a real adornment of any house or office and able to bring a bit of intrigue in a usual environment: altar tables, yokeback chairs, screens, trunk with drawers, carved cabinets and many other exclusive pieces of antique oriental furniture and accessories.
The event culminated in a special offer for interior designers from 'Oriental Deco' salon and Claude Gournay — a possibility to turn into reality the most fantastic ideas in the contest of design projects 'East Meets West'. The jury headed by Jenny Gibbs, President of British Institute of Interior Design (former British Interior Design Association), will define 2 winners by results of the contest, in February of 2011. Winners will be awarded with the contest honorary diploma, presents, and will get an opportunity to decorate 2 apartments in the center of Kiev. Besides, projects of winners as well as information about authors will be published in the magazine 'Archideya'.
Moreover, all guests of the evening could take part in a lottery, which winners were awarded with an original prize: an exclusive edition of collection book.
After the official part journalists had a possibility to receive maximum information on de Gournay activity, to communicate in informal atmosphere with Claude Cecil Gournay, to take comments or interviews, as well as to discuss further plans of the enterprise in Ukraine.
